Summerglen Property Owners Association

The Summerglen Property Owners Association is a non-profit organization. The Association owns and maintains the common properties and facilities. The common properties and facilities include, but are not limited to, public right of ways or easements, walls, fencing, safety lanes, green belt landscaping, sprinkler systems, and improvements.

Annual Assessments
Every homeowner is an automatic member of the POA and shares a portion of the responsibility for its support. Current assessments are $1,452.00 per year. The assessment is billed $726.00 bi-annually, payable and postmarked, not later than Jan 1 and July 1 of the current year. Payments not made by the due date will be fined a late fee on Jan 1 and July 1 of the current year. If you do not receive a statement, your account is still due. The annual assessment is determined on an annual basis by the Board of Directors and may not be increased more than 10% per year without a vote of the quorum of POA members.

POA Property Access
No access to green belt or any POA property without Summerglen Board approval prior. An additional deposit will be charged for any access to POA property. Any destruction to POA property, or access will be fined and charged to builders deposit. 

Solicitation:
Door to door solicitations by persons is prohibited. Please inform people that come to your door selling magazine subscriptions, etc. that solicitation in the neighborhood is not allowed.

Access Gate:
For details regarding the hours a guard is on duty and entry guidelines, please log on to the Homeowner Restricted Area.

Each homeowner is entitled to purchase remotes for the gate. Gate remotes are needed to enter through the Resident gate. Gate remotes can be mailed or picked up M-F 12-2pm at FSR. To have mailed, download and return the Gate Remote Agreement to gatessatx@fsresidential.com. You will then be offered the option to pay with a credit card or have your association account charged and the item will be mailed to you.

Our security company, G4S, has set up a Visitor Management System using software from Safehouse. Residents need to contact our First Service manager to request a login and password to access the Safehouse app.

Signs:
The DCCR’s prohibits all contractor and supplier signs in yards and vacant lots except those approved by the ACC. Please inform your contractor or supplier installing any improvement that temporary or permanent signs of any kind are prohibited.

Landscaping:
It is the homeowner's responsibility to provide adequate planting and landscaping for their property. Landscaping plans must be submitted to the ACC for approval prior to commencing the work. The procedure for submitting landscaping plans to the ACC may be accessed from both the Covenants and Bylaws section of the Summerglenpoa website and from the Forms section.

Athletic and Recreation Facilities:
Athletic and recreational facilities either of a permanent or temporary nature shall not be permitted in the front yard or on any residence on the Property. Lighting and fencing shall be allowed only with the approval of the ACC.

Campers, Trucks, Boats and Recreational Vehicles:
They may not be kept on any Lot unless they are fully enclosed within the garage located on such Lot and/or screened from view by a screening structure or fencing approved by the ACC, and said vehicles and accessories must be in an operable condition.

​Parking
Parking on the steet between the hours of 1 am to 4 am is strictly prohibited. Overnight parking in the park parking lot is also prohibited. Towing is enforced. Should your vehicle be towed, please contact Bexar Towing at 210-559-4528.

Pets:
All household pets shall at all times, except when they are confined within the boundaries of a private single family residence, be restrained or controlled by a leash, rope or similar restraint. Please do not let your pets run loose. No one wants their landscaping damaged nor wants to clean up after someone else's pet. Enclosures used for animals shall be constructed in accordance with plans approved by the Architectural Control Committee.
